We both would pay uncle sam his money...don't want the IRS after us. Then we both would pay off all of our debt, then do one thing that we both want. (vacation or cars) and then invest the rest. When we finished we read our lists to each other. It was entertaining and we learned what was most important to us and what goals we shared. Pay for taxes on the million. 2.) Buy a used reliable car 3.) Knock out all our debt 4.) Open a Savings Acct. 5.) Put $$ in our Fully Funded Emergency Fund 6.) Invest some $$ 7.)
